June (Diaz) is on his way back to his sisters wedding when she meets a nice guy, Roy (Cruise), who is his flight. Little does she know, he is actually a spy and murderess trained. It has a battery that is sought after by the same organization that worked. Now, both discover that the only people who may have trust one another.
Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl is more or less the same idea here as Knight & Day Blonde who loves his day he meets a beautiful boy, boy turns out to be a trained killer, but she tags along with him anyway. The difference is that Knight & Day has a better cast, script, comedy, action and more fun.
The film has its share of problems, but the overall product is a fun entertaining thriller with two children who play well with each other. Cruise is back and this time he has brought with him comedic chops. Cruise was the funniest thing about Tropic Thunder and could be a new type of star in. He takes the role of charm, danger and pleasure. His co-star, Diaz, who shares the screen with Cruise in Vanilla Sky, plays the role of a member of the public. It is thrown into this world, knows nothing and is basically along for the ride.
James Mangold, who has some good films to his credit, the film works well enough for the viewer can see the action scenes. There are some cases where the green screen was clear a little ‘distraction, but other than that, the action scenes were pretty funny. film suffers from some weak writing for the so-called bad. Throughout the film, we are told two things. One, the guy trying to sell Cruise after the battery is framed him and two, that Tom Cruise has gone rogue and stolen. It is obvious that the film will eventually distribute, which has led to some weak antagonist for the film.
lines between Cruise and Diaz is fun and there are funny sequences when Diaz is drugged and many impossible things and go crazy on it, but the public get a glimpse of it from dazed and confused eyes. It ‘a funny sequence that starts with them and ends up with them caught on a beach in a bathing suit.
Knight & Day is a fun way to spend 109 minutes and it is also nice to see the back of the cruise in the movie where you have fun.
