Barbara Eden—Tony Randall—Burl Ives

Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.

Very nice, good humor, good game, a little ‘kitsch, but it was most comedies of the time in the early 60s and there’s nothing wrong with that.
This should be on DVD – not only VHS. Because the studios do not convert it to a DVD with particular actors / actresses rated DVDs is beyond me.The DVD shelves could easily steal 45-65 age group who would like to add to their collections
Burl Ives is another classic performance this time back genie in the bottle now released by someone, Tony Randall, who is tempted, but morally bound not to be consumed with the offer of “your wish is my command “.

It ‘was a movie I saw in the theater when I was a child I have tried in the past 15 years. The VHS tape is available on Amazon for a low price, so I bought it, but now that I see those other comments I understand why. I also want that the study would release it on DVD and I would like to have a copy as soon as they did.
person who remembered the scenes with entrepreneurs that float on the launcher attached to the pencil, and the Genie wife, I remember it well. Last not to mention in the credits, but I remember it was a beautiful lady. I wonder what he did.
‘curious to see how I came to think of this film. I thought the actor who plays Kang Star Trek TOS, because he played a technomaige (sp) called Elric of Babylon 5 and looked up only to find (and remember) was married to Barbara Eden thought of this movie because I reminded played GF Tony Randall. I think the idea Genie is deep in my memory, when I was a boy even younger and my parents bought me the story of Aladdin and the magic lamp to record all these years. “New old lamps!” Does anyone remember that? My how time has passed. I’m not a big fan of Tony Randall, but I liked in this area. I still think monopolize him in the series Odd Couple. Even though it was his most famous role, that has a lot more. Unfortunately, I see it more as Felix all his other roles. I seem to remember him in a movie with Rock Hudson too long ago. now, that seems to have been more the type of Barbara Eden had we known rock and then as we do now. Well Gooooooleeee Sargent Carter! hehehehee However, it is a great movie and I would be happy to have a copy of it. Burl Ives was the best roll. Much better than the narrator of Rudolph.

It ‘was in many ways the beginning of Barbara Eden, with genes. In this film, she is the girlfriend of Tony Randall – who is a genius – Burl Ives. Even if you do not live for sexy Eden, is a great comedy that must be seen at least once – just for fun.

For the most part, “The Brass Bottle” is one of those stupid comedies that folded in the early ’60s. In this case, nervousness Ventimore architect Harold (Tony Randall) engineering frees Fakrash (Burl Ives), who tries to please his new master. It only complicates the situation when Harold can not explain things to his girlfriend Sylvia Kenton (Barbara Eden). these genes have never able to get things done! Yes, this film is very much a product of these days, when we looked at the Middle East as the country with the Sultans harem, I think OPEC gave us the negative image that dominates today., But very little. matter, this film is impossible not to love In this sense, it is like the other 1964 film in which Tony Randall and Barbara Eden co-star: “7 Faces of Dr. Lao” (which also had a sort of magical plot) Then ., can not be a film to be taken seriously, but it is certainly good for a few laughs. And if nothing else, we can almost see Barbara Eden began playing the genius of the most famous ever to grace television screens. Also starring Edward Andrews, Ann Doran and Philip Ober (who appeared on “I Dream of Jeannie” pilot)
One last thing. I noticed in the court scene a photo of Pres. Kennedy. because, obviously, this film released after his assassination, I was nervous to show her picture?
