New York, 1959. Max Bialystock was once the king of Broadway, but now all his shows close on opening night. Things turn around when he's visited by the neurotic accountant Leo Bloom, who proposes a scheme tailor-made for producers who can only make flops: raise far more money than you need, then make sure the show is despised. No one will be interested in it, so you can pocket the surplus. To this end, they produce a musical called Springtime for Hitler written by escaped Nazi Franz Liebken. Then they get the insanely flamboyant Roger De Bris to direct. Finally, they hire as a lead actress the loopy Swedish bombshell Ulla (whose last name has over 15 syllables). As opening night draws near, what can go wrong? Well, there's no accounting for taste…

I just saw the remake producer. I was speechless. Who in their right mind would even groped such a stupid idea? I look at the original and still periodically laugh a lot, but this thing is ridiculous. I saw the show in London this year and found it wonderful. The acting superb, brilliant production, etc. I am a fan of both Lane, Matthew Broderick and Nathan, and I can not understand how you are allowed to be so fiasco. As for Will Ferrell trying to join Kenneth Mars is ridiculous (and not in a good way). However, if you want to see how something can be fun to take the original because it is probably the funniest movie ever made.
I saw this movie for the first time, not having seen the film in 1968, has never been able to frequent performance. So it was an exciting experience to see the show starring famous actors actors side of the screen, then I would fall in love with the cinema (and film actors) again and do not complain about a life without the possibility of being a theatergoer.
dialogues are fun and
“deep” cynical, it just says it should be, but I felt that they were often overshadowed, because every small role is played by artist attractive enough to weaken the charm words. Fountain Central Park scene eruption after the fiasco of success, in search of “producer” of God calls “old friend” seemed quite modest, role playing good enough “support”.
‘hard not to love this music, after all. The song, “I want to be a writer” is sung as a love song gently touching, I wonder what sweet song existed in the 1968 film? In addition, Ulla flared blue dress is a delight to capture as it moves with elegance. Most of all, now I really want to see the whole scene of “Spring Time for Hitler” or play Franz Liebkind fury!
I also like my husband hated … It was great fun, the only part where we laughed when we skipped the musical numbers … Well actually I do not know if I should laugh or cry. I mean, it was just awful. I do not like one of their voices so it was painful to listen to. I was just waiting for it to finish and we skipped most of the film. I was angry to spend my time and money on this piece of shit. If I have to explain or give a good reason why it sucks here is “Why did you just sucked” As a result, it was not funny, not funny, almost asleep in trying. So there you have it, do not waste your money on this …
I had the opportunity to see the producers of Broadway with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick in the lead roles (7 rows from the stage no less). That’s why I did not scored a 10 I think, because it is impossible for the film to match the live broadcast.
The film was very faithful to the Broadway play, and even though I felt got off to a slow start, it was excellent and I have had many moments of laughter. Nathan Lane is an absolute tour de force – the eyebrows alone deserve an Oscar! Prison cells solo is simply one of the best parts is / sing / dance ever – I applauded in my living room. Will Ferrell was great – I had to read “Guten Tag Hop Clop der” several times and I’m still laughing thinking
My wife was skeptical, warning “it will not. Know as good as Broadway”, but overall we were not disappointed .
If I could give it a 11 out of a maximum of 10, I give you … all production was wonderful .. I would like to review … and this is something that only the film with very little. Nathan Lane steals the show with his wonderful performance. The performance of an actor portraying gay director is a model of what an actor should be.
scene showing the actual production of the piece was a masterpiece and Mel Brooks could do it justice.
Uma Thurman gives an excellent performance and almost steals the show.
I can not say enough good things about this movie.
